Welcome to the 20 Question Book Tag! I was tagged by my lovely blogger friend, Jenna. You should really go check out her blog, it’s amazing! 😃
#1: How many books are too many in a series?
I would have to say anything over 5 books is killer for me. I make it through series with more then 5 books before but it was really tough. I once read both Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series back to back……BAD IDEA! It took me way too long to finish The Blood of Olympus. 😂
#2: How do you feel about cliff-hangers?
I honestly despise cliff-hangers especially when I have to wait a long time to read the next book! Sure, when I have every book in the series at my fingertips, I don’t mind them because I get to jump to the next book and find out what happen. I blame cliff-hangers for being the reason why I can’t sleep after finishing a book with them.
*clears throat uneasily* Just a warning to the people who will be reading my book, Dalkeith, there will be a cliff-hanger so……..
#3: Hardcover or paperback?
I prefer hardcovers because they last longer, but they are so expensive! I mainly own paperbacks because they are cheaper and most Christian fiction books only are in paperback.
#4: Favorite book?
Um…….why are you making me choose one? I could go with the obvious answer and say the Bible, but where’s the fun in that? My favorite books (#rebel) other then the Bible has to be Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien, Doon by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp, A Bound Heart by Laura Frantz, The Stormers Trilogy by Sarah Addison-Fox, and I honestly could go on forever so I’ll stop now.
#5: Least Favorite Book?
The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima, I love fantasy and I tried to love this book but I couldn’t get into it. I DNF-ed the second one because why read a book if you can’t get into it?
#6: Love Triangles, yes or no?
I HATE love triangles!! They are the worst thing in YA fiction. I, as a writer, refuse to add love triangles to my books. The thought passed through my mind and I instantly threw it away. If there is one thing I cannot stand it is love triangles!!
#7: The most recent book you couldn’t finish
Nothing. I honestly have gotten through all the books I have been reading lately.
#8: A book you are currently reading?
I am currently reading 3 books. Yes, I am one of those people. 😂 I am currently reading Fawkes by Nadine Brandes, Dalkeith by me, and Moonblood by Anne Elisabeth Stengl. All are AMAZING books (if I don’t say so myself for Dalkeith 😉)
#9: Last book you recommended to someone?
Um, probably Receive by Sarah Addison-Fox. What can I say, I’m obsessed with this series!
#10: Oldest book you’ve read? (publication date)
Beowulf, I think. I feel like I’ve read something older but we’ll go with Beowulf for now.
#11: Newest book you’ve read? (publication date)
Retreat by Sarah Addison-Fox…………..yup I am officially obsessed with The Stormers Trilogy. 😂
#12: Favorite author?
Again I’m going to rebel and list a few! Nadine Brandes, J.R.R Tolkien, Lorie Langdon, Sarah Addison-Fox, Tracie Peterson, Laura Frantz, and again I could go on for a while……
#13: Buying books or borrowing?
Buying all the way! But I do borrow from the library all the time, but if I like the book enough it goes onto my Goodreads shelf Books to Buy😂
#14: A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?
Throne of Glass by Sara J. Maas, this book was way too dark for me and I heard that it get’s bad with sexual content in the following books *shudders*
#15: Bookmarks or dog-ears?
*eye twitches* Why is this even a question?!?! Who in their right mind would dog ear a page?!? *shudders at the thought* Bookmarks all the way!! If you dog ear a book, I will dog ear you! 😒😒
#16: A book you can always reread?
Doon by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp, I have read these books 4 times or something like that! 😂😂
Also The Stormers Trilogy by Sarah Addison-Fox……okay I really have a problem.
#17: Can you read while hearing to music?
Yup! I do this all the time!! I live in a small house with ten people so my brain has learned that music is much more relaxing than screams from siblings. 😂😂
#18: One POV or multiple POVs?
Multiple POVs please! I love getting the story from different POVs. Sure, I enjoy a single POV every so often but most of my favorite books have multiple POVs.
#19: Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
If I can I will read my book in one sitting, but that doesn’t happen that often. Usually it takes me a day or two to finish a book. What can I say I’m a fast reader! 😂
#20: Who do you tag?
I hope you enjoyed this tag! If you want to do it even if you weren’t tagged you are more then welcome to do it! 😃
Keep your eye open for a review on Retreat by Sarah Addison-Fox. I hopefully will have it up later today! 😊
