So I have big news, some is good and some is bad. Well it’s not really that bad but it will make a few of you sad, it makes me sad!

Life News

So my grandparents moved to Kentucky last May and we’ve been out to see them quite a lot. My mom’s sister lives out there too so I’ve been to Kentucky many, many times. Well around Christmas, my parents felt like God was calling them to look at houses. So they did.

Now there have been many, many times that my parents have tried to move. They are originally from California and don’t really like Chicago but they live with it because it’s where God has called us to live. They have tried to move us to Arizona, Texas, Georgia, and I think even South Carolina when I was younger, but God hadn’t opened any doors, well He did this time. So it was the 22nd of December when they went to look at this house.

They instantly liked it but were still skeptical. So they laid out their “fleeces”. They prayed and asked God that He would 1.) Allow us to find a church that week that we could see ourselves going to and 2.) The people accept our low offer. They were a few other ones but I can’t remember this right now.

Well God opened both of those doors. We visited a church on the 23rd and my parents felt like we could go there. Then on the 24th, the people accepted their low offer for the house. My parents were both thrilled. I was happy because I was getting out of Chicago, which is really going down hill. Yes, I am sad to be moving from my friends and church but I am also excited to see what God is going to do next in my life.

Yesterday, my parents officially bought the house, so we now own a house in Kentucky. We will be moving late July into the house. I am very sad to see all my books getting packed up. More than half of them are sitting in boxes at my grandparents in Kentucky. But I will manage. 😂😉

Now that I have finished updating y’all on that, now to get to the sad yet super exciting news.

Book News

As many of you know, because of Goodreads, I have finished my first draft go Dalkeith! I am so happy that I finally have typed ‘the end’ on my first ever book. Now for the bad news. So I had originally wanted to publish Dalkeith by the end of April but because I am going to be busy packing and moving I probably won’t be able to. Now I am looking at it getting published sometime in August or September.

I don’t like this news anymore than you. I hope y’all understand why I need to change the publishing date. I just won’t have enough time to edit anything with school and packing. I also don’t want to speed through and publish a half edited book, so it just works better for me to put off the publishing date till August or September.

So this has been my both good and bad news. I really am sorry that I have to push off the publication of Dalkeith. I just won’t have the proper time to get it edited and re-written before April.

Till next time,

  1. Congratulations on finding a good place to move! Moving can be stressful, but it’s exciting, too. I hope the transition and moving process goes smoothly and you love it in Kentucky!
And we’re readers and writers. We understand delays. 🙂 Life takes priority over publishing. Can’t wait to read it, though!
