A PRINCESS AT HEART BY LORETTA MARCHIZE//BLOG TOUR

August Blog Tour

I am back with yet another blog tour for my lovely friend Loretta Marchize. I will be providing you guys with a spotlight today. I hope you enjoy!!

About the Book:

Cilla Starling has been a servant her whole life, at Queen Villn’s mercy. But after Queen Villn falls and she is released to live her own life, she moves in with her half-brother and their friend, Celeste. Then one day she gets an important invitation- an invitation to the annual royal White Kingdom balls that celebrate the peace between the Kappaka Kingdom and the White Kingdom. Cilla agrees, but once there she runs into trouble with dashing Prince Jay. Will she ever convince him that she could never become a queen? And then- just when her troubles are finally being resolved, terrible news arrives at the palace. Oria has attacked. And their not about to give up, so Cilla is stuck at the White Kingdom palace.

A Princess at Heart is based on Cinderella. (with a twist or two, of course)

A Princess at Heart

Book 1 and 2 synopsis:

Book 1 The Lost Princess

Cilla Starling has lived in the Kappaka palace as long as she can remember. Prince Ethan Villn and his family are in the prisons of the palace, and Queen Villn rules over her fearful subjects. When Lord Rush confronts Queen Villn- resulting in Cilla, Ethan, and Ethan’s family’s freedom -they decide to fight back. So begins a journey, to and from the White Kingdom, a gathering of allies, and a battle against a distraught Queen.

The four royal siblings who live next door in the White Kingdom are more than ready to help, as Queen Villn has caused quite a stir in their kingdom. In fact, one of them holds a secret to the location of the lost Villn princess, Ethan’s beloved younger sister, and perhaps the only person with any hope of talking to Queen Villn. If, that is, she’s brave enough to leave the safety of the White Kingdom.

The Lost Princess is a twist on the regular fairy tales, including the princesses Rapunzel, Snow White, Ariel, Melody (Ariel’s daughter), Cinderella, and Belle.

Book 2 The Princess Ambassador

Lily’s dream is to become an ambassador, even though she’s already a princess. Her father supports her choice and sends her to the next door kingdom, Draton. Her first mission goes completely awry upon meeting Prince Nathaniel Draton. She never expected a royal who was anything but rude and stuffy.

Just as the two begin to explore their friendship the head of the guard, Otto Fade, decides the new ambassador is getting too close to the Prince. He takes drastic measures to ensure she does not contact Nathaniel again, and then just when Lily thinks all is well, Nathaniel’s father falls ill in an unfortunate turn of events and the two must face the possibility of his untimely death.

    1. I personally really liked this book, so I would recommend it!! Other books that I would recommend in this genre are any Melanie Dickerson books. She makes the BEST fairytale re-telling books!
